MY STORY

Terrace Gibson (myself) is just a guy who likes to write. Terrace is, in fact, my birth name. No, not a typo–yeah, it is like the word. Yeah, mhm, like the balcony. Did I guess right? Did we just have a dialogue? If so, hell yeah! If not, well, I tried.

I wish I could tell you all about my accolades and how successful I am, but I’m just a guy who likes to write. I developed a love for the craft in 10th grade when I realized you could write about anything–including fantasy worlds! You see, I hated reading, and nothing would get me all sad than to have to sit down with a book in hand. It wasn’t until I read the Circle of Magic series by Tamora Pierce that I started to see just what could be done with the written word. One could craft whole worlds and lives with the touch of fingers to keyboard. Naturally, I was hooked. I spent the remainder of my high school life trying to understand writing by reading different styles and different genres. Eventually, I picked up creative writing as a hobby, and, well, here we are!

I hope my writings will scratch that itch for you bookies out there (are we called bookies?). Please except my humble abilities as a gift back to the community I fell in love with all those years ago.

WHAT IS THIS SITE FOR?

No real reason than an archive of my work. I wanted a place I could publically post my writings, and if the world just so happened to see it, then awesome! If only a handful of my friends and family see it, then awesome! If I’m the only one who ever sets mouse on this site, then awesome! I also might jot down my experience writing certain genres and my process from time to time.

THE GOAL OF MY SITE

Is to just write. That’s all. But if I had to choose an alterior motive for the site, it would be to promote myself and my writing easier. I often had friends or family ask where they could see my writing–well, wait no longer! It is HERE!
